Welcome to Tailored Travels by Alix , a place where personal travel experiences and passion come together to create your ultimate journey.
The face behind Tailored Travels is me, Alix, a young woman from Belgium with a great love for traveling and discovering the world. My passion for traveling started early; as a little girl I played 'travel agency' with my grandfather and provided the best possible trip for my grandparents. My parents took me everywhere so I was able to discover the world at a young age. I later continued that love for traveling with friends and now also with my husband. Traveling became more than just relaxation for me; it became a way to discover, recharge and find new energy . Over the years I discovered that I have a talent for planning and organizing trips. Whether it is an original road trip, a relaxing stay on a paradise beach, or an adventurous tour, I enjoy working out everything down to the last detail and giving it a personal touch.
For a long time I saw this as a hobby, something that was just part of me. However, it started to itch more and more: what if I would develop a concept from my passion? Within my circle of friends and family I was already known as "the traveler" ; when I came home from a trip, people quickly asked: "Where is the next one going?" Nevertheless, a few years ago I started my studies in Clinical Psychology at the University of Ghent and to this day I enjoy working as a psychologist and psychotherapist in my own practice.
A while ago, however, I slowly started sharing my dream of having my own travel agency . The enthusiastic reactions from those around me encouraged me to investigate this further. And here we are, years later: Tailored Travels by Alix!
